About Sue Cline
Our founder Sue Cline excels at turning audacious goals into meaningful action plans. Her methods are practical and designed to address your burning performance and organizational goals. Sue specializes in translating practical knowledge and experience into marketable products and services.
In past engagements, Sue has worked closely with business leaders, economic development officials, hospitality experts, social entrepreneurs, print and publishing executives, construction professionals and venture capitalists. This diverse exposure helps Cyclonic Consulting to suggest unexpected solutions to thorny problems and deliver impressive results.
Sue was raised in an entrepreneurial family. Her father was a successful general contractor and real estate developer who was dedicated to providing safe and secure communities. Her mother was a source of constant and steady encouragement to break out of the pack and be a remarkable woman and citizen, and fostered Sue’s love of reading from an early age. She joined Kinko’s straight out of the University of Illinois as one of it’s youngest managers when the copy giant had less than 70 U.S. stores.
During her 16 year tenure at Kinko’s Sue successfully marketed the technological flood that emerged in the 80′s and 90′s, including fax machines, computers, color copiers and digital printing. An experienced leader and troubleshooter, Sue specialized in turning around poorly performing locations through her expertise in marketing and staff development. Four of her branches received “Turnaround of the Year” awards for their dramatic, profitable makeovers in record time.
In 1997, Sue left Kinko’s to form her first business venture, a restaurant in Delaware’s Sussex county. Her restaurant was one of the first to use the internet to build business and repeat customers through electronic newsletters and email lists. Sue sold the restaurant in 2000 to focus on her growing consulting practice, which has developed into today’s Cyclonic Consulting organization.
